Cutler Park in Late May, #2
28 May 2006
This is Needham Street, Dedham, at the end of the path.
Once again I follow the boardwalk across the marsh. The songs of birds seem to come from all around.
This was my attempt to catch a carpenter bee in flight. The yellow and black bullet in the middle of the image is the bee; its wings form bit of a blur on either side.

Everywhere there is lush greenery.
There is clearly no shortage of water in these woods.

As the sun sinks toward the western horizon, the forest begins to darken.
Another brook running across the forest floor crosses my path.
In the distance, a small wooden bridge crosses yet another brook.
As I head homeward, the lake catches the deepening blue of the early evening sky.
See how much taller the towers look at this end of the park than at the other.
I don't know what this is, but it's growing in a neighbor's yard.
Home again, home again.
